When I first started Wedding Wednesdays, I promised I would go back to share about the first wedding I was in. Well its been a few months but here it is.
You've heard me talk about this beautiful couple before.
It's my brother and sister-in-law :)
Brett and Anna met at a friends wedding that they were both in many many years ago (back when i was still in high school)
During my first year in college, they met again and started talking. That January (i think) of 2009 they started dating. In May, Anna moved from Clemson, SC to Texas.
In November, they were engaged.
Their wedding was on May 9, 2010.
It was one of my favorite weddings ever.
Anna had so many great ideas and they had a great venue.
They got married at the Inn at Serenbe.
It was the most beautiful day.
We had so much fun getting ready, had a communion service in the morning with all of the girls.
Many of her friends are beautiful singers so we sang through out the day and even did so for some of the pictures.
The reception was in an outdoor pavilion.
They had food from Texas and Georgia to blend the two couples together.
(Sorry to all the other brides) I think this was the best dance party I've been to.
Brett and Anna were definitely enjoying themselves and it was a night to remember.
I'm so grateful to have Anna in my family.
She is just another sister to me.
(And if you didn't know, I'm going to be living with them in a duplex/house next year in Athens!)
Anyways, back to the wedding.
All the bridesmaids got to choose a style from a line at Priscilla of Boston.
And then we had to get gray heels.
My one regret from the wedding was that I didn't get some awesome gray heels that I would still wear.
(at that time I didn't really like heels...crazy!)
