As I mentioned yesterday, this past week I was able to work with Katie to make cupcakes and a cake for a wedding on Saturday. Briney Bogle and John Wilson got married at the Bogle Farm, about an hour and a half south of Atlanta on Saturday. It was a dream wedding. It took place in this huge clear tent that was connected to a pavilion. There was a 16ish-piece band, incredible food, a coffee bar, fireworks, etc. I've never seen anything like it.
Katie and I baked a little over 300 cupcakes. We made strawberry with white chocolate "W" and heart toppers, peppermint chocolate (which were my personal favorite) and peanut butter cup.
The wedding cake itself was a 10-inch white chocolate cake.
It was very interesting being on this side of the wedding, being one of the vendors, since I've been in weddings and never been 'the help.' My favorite part was being able to put in the hard work and then being there while all the guests were trying them and hearing what they thought about them. I love cupcake weddings, they are just so fun and delicious :)
What kind of dessert did you or will you have at your wedding?
