Winter Break thus far

What I did today:
1. Stayed in bed until noon because I was thoroughly frustrated with myself for naturally waking up at 8:15 on the first morning that I could sleep in.
2. Go have lobster bisque and a pedicure with Peggy. no, I'm not joking. When I finally got out of bed and went upstairs Peggy informed me that we either needed to eat out or go to the grocery store so naturally we went to Mittie's in Roswell and shopped around in a couple adorable boutiques. Then we went for our 2nd annual winter break pedicure. Basically, we're the only girls in our family in town and end up treating ourselves to some pampering. Its a tradition that I am willing to uphold for years to come :) Its actually pretty much a miracle that we left the house on this dreary December day but a girl's gotta eat!
3. Finished reading Bossypants by Tina Fey. That's my one accomplishment for the day. I've decided that no matter what my days consist of for the rest of winter break I will do one thing that makes me feel productive.

Now you may be asking me why I was so lazy today. The answer is that the past five days have been absolute insanity. Today was the first day I really feel like I was on break. But despite the exhaustion created by the mass amounts of work and chaos, I had lots of fun and it was a great experience. On Thursday and Friday, I spent the entire day baking with Katie Nelson, of Sarah Kate's Bakery, for a wedding on Saturday. We baked over 300 cupcakes and a 10-inch wedding cake. More about this experience will come later since I'm currently being called out the door for Mexican food (add to list of things I did today, leaving the house twice, insanity!). And maybe soon I'll find more energy in my lazy days to finally catch up from the entire semester ;)
