Looking Back on 2011

So the New Year has come.
And as usual, I have had some time to reflect on last year.
I've even looked back at my journal from this year, most of it just makes me laugh at how young and immature I sound. Grateful God has really forced me to grow up this year.
Its easy for me to initially look back and only remember the negatives.
The tears, failures, disappointments, criticism, rebukes, etc.
But then I think about all the good things God has done in my life in the past 12 months.
Just some fun or encouraging things I remember from last year:
- Spent what was supposed to be the first four days of school playing in the beautiful blanket of snow that covered the small town of Athens.
- Started working as a teen worker.
- Visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and spent a week at the beach with my roommates.
- Read the Hunger Games and got addicted...
- Had like two weeks of birthday celebrations with my friends before we split for the summer.
- Spent an incredible summer working at camp where I learned a lot about myself, fell in love with God deeper than ever before and really found security and peace in my relationship with him and met some amazing people who will hopefully be in my life for the long haul. I was also able to reconnect and grow in my relationship with my sister.
- Realized what I do and don't want in my future.
- Was able to witness multiple of my friends get married.
- Started my senior year of college...my oh my how time flies by...
- Have witnessed numerous baptisms in my ministry, including my roommate and one of the teens I studied with, both major answered prayers!!
- Worked as a Bible talk leader and with the freshman girls.
- Fought hard to maintain some friendships that were changing.
- Got an event planning internship with ESP coordinating the Big Hearts Pageant.
- Got an internship baking with Sarah Kate's Bakery.
- Spent time at the beach with one of my best friends.
- Saw Mat Kearney and Need to Breathe in concert.
- Got a B+ in Law of Mass Communication.

WOW didn't realize how much that was going to be. I'm sure a lot of other great things happened, these were just a few on my mind. Hope 2011 was a great year for you too!!!
