its the most wonderful time of the year

Thanksgiving Break is one of my favorite times but also one of my least favorite. Its great because we get a full week off of school and I take full advantage. This year, I had the amazing opportunity to spend three days at the beach with one of my closest friends. I know you're thinking, the beach, in November?! Wasn't it cold?! No. It was very warm. And wonderful. So warm in fact we were able to swim in the ocean and lay out. I spent two straight days reading and laying out in the sun. Got to go on prayer walks on the beach, enjoy the hot tub, put together a cupcake puzzle, bake and just spend time with the Evans, one of my favorite families. And then I spent the next three days in Roswell, GA with my family. It was three days of football, good food, more puzzle making (well that was really just my sister, I got too frustrated with the 3-D Voldemort & Harry puzzle too work too much on it), shopping, drinking butter beer, and just being together. Both Georgia and Texas won our big rivalry games so we had a good football weekend :)

Why do I not like Thanksgiving Break? WELL...cause that means finals are coming up. And its hard to be truly relaxed and enjoy the break when I have the end of the semester school work looming on me. And yes, sadly I had to study over break. But at least my siblings did as well so we studied together. Just 16 days until freedom. Until then, I may not be blogging much, although you know I love to write when I'm procrastinating ;)

pretty much sums up my family
i love photographing how cute they are!

This brings us to what Thanksgiving starts and what brings me through fall semester finals...CHRISTMAS/winter break!!!!! Besides summer, it really is my favorite time of the year. I get to spend time with family, see friends I don't always get to see, have lots of excuses to spend money on people and bake. I've already made my winter break to do list, which is entirely consisting of crafts and all the books I want to read. There is nothing to worry about during winter break, except what I need to buy to bake all the delicious goodies!

Last night (when I should have been studying), I needed a study break because my brain was hurting and I decided to decorate my house for Christmas. This was a terrible idea cause I got a little carried away and did no more studying for the rest of the night...But now our house is festive and it will make my studying a little happier. The Finals Fort will commence this weekend and I'm quite excited about that!

Happy Holidays :)
