Expect the Unexpected

Sometimes God throws us a curve ball.
Life doesn't always turn out the way we expected.
Actually, it rarely ever does.
Because we are not all-knowing and all-powerful the way God is.
But thankfully, he gives us what we need when we need it.
Even if it doesn't feel like it.
Because he knows us better than we'll ever know ourselves.
And for that I am grateful.

Some of my favorite scriptures right now:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret - it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land." Psalm 37:3-9
"Rejoice in the Lord always. i will say it again Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7

Trust me, life is too short to be angry or to spend your days worrying about whats coming next. Just cast your anxieties on him, because that's all you can do.

When was the last time you thanked God for something in your life that was hard because you know he's in control and has something amazing planned for you?
